Simon Carlsson

One of our most sought-after DJs, Simon's vast musical knowledge led to his appointment as our 'music librarian' - the man responsible for seeing that all clients requests are available for their bookings. Simon has been on our team for over 5 years, having already gained considerable experience in advance, making him capable of any style of presentation or event...from compering outdoor games to a full mixed club set. He has turned his hand to radio presentation, store openings and club residences (as a regular at Corks, the home of KISS FM's MOBO award winning '8090'). Simon's personal tastes vary from the classics of Frank Sinatra to the current sounds of the club scene, with particular preference towards soul music in all its forms. Most importantly he enjoys a challenge and the opportunity to play good music to an appreciating audience (which they invariably are!) - when a recent booking requested only twenties to fifties music Simon was the natural choice, a test which he passed with flying colours and to great praise! Simon has played at most London venues including Syon Park, The Lanesborough Hotel & Alexandra Palace and as far afield as Berlin Exhibition Centre, Imola race circuit, The Crown Plaza Hotel (Cologne) and Disneyland Paris. His clients include The BAFTA organisation, News International & JMC holidays, he has worked with Boy George, Goldie, Trevor Nelson, Jools Holland, Tony Blackburn, The Prodigy, The Commitments & even Kermit the frog!
