Sam ‘Samwise’ Calcott, BMus

A graduate with honours from Goldsmiths College, London, Sam has been a DJ for just over three years. He joined us in 2006. His musical preferences centre around rock and indie but he is fond of all genres, with a broad-based knowledge of classical, jazz, pop, dance (especially trance & house) and even ethnomusicology (world music) which he studied at university. A versatile and technically accomplished DJ, Sam is also a professional trumpet player and has played across Europe and in the USA for various bands and orchestras. He’s currently in a ska band and has played in front of thousands, both as a trumpeter and a DJ. Sam teaches music at a professional level.
